Archery Performance Under Pressure: Four Week Online Pilot
August 07, 2026
Archery rewards technical precision but major competitions can be decided by what happens immediately after one imperfect arrow.
A disrupted release.
An unexpected score.
A change in wind or light.
A time warning.
A poor end carried into the next set.
A single-arrow shoot off where consequence enters the execution.
The decisive challenge is rarely the arrow that has already gone.
It is protecting the next shot from it.
GF Performance develops practical systems that help archers preserve their timing, decision making and committed execution when competitive pressure is at its highest.
The online programme can support:
• recurve, compound and barebow archers
• target, indoor, field and 3D disciplines
• Olympic and Para archery programmes
• senior, U21 and youth pathways
• individual, team and mixed team competitors
• national squads, clubs, academies and coaches
• small groups and individual archers
I am writing with one direct request:
Would your Federation Name be willing to circulate this opportunity to your national squads, Para programmes, development pathways, affiliated clubs, coaches and individual members?
There is no financial commitment or administration required from the federation. Interested archers, coaches and teams can contact GF Performance directly.
I have included a ready to forward member email below, allowing your team to share the opportunity without needing to rewrite or prepare anything.

Dear Archers, Coaches and Performance Teams,
An archer can produce thousands of technically sound shots in training.
Competition asks a different question:
Can you still access that shot when the arrow carries consequence?
Pressure does not always create visible panic. It can appear as a microscopic change:
• holding fractionally too long
• forcing the expansion or release
• becoming cautious after a low-scoring arrow
• changing a trusted process because the score suddenly matters
• carrying frustration from one end into the next
• losing rhythm following a delay, equipment check or changing conditions
• focusing on the possible result instead of the shot being executed
• hesitating when a final or shoot off depends on one arrow
One arrow can affect a set, match or championship.
The decisive skill is protecting the next shot from what has just happened.
GF Performance is opening a limited number of places for the Four Week Archery Performance Under Pressure Pilot.
The programme is tailored around the archer’s discipline, bow division, competitive level, upcoming events and individual pressure responses.
It can develop:
• stable pre shot and competition routines
• clearer attention control when the outcome matters
• committed expansion, timing and release under pressure
• rapid reset systems following low scoring arrows and lost ends
• composure during finals, selection events and single arrow shoot offs
• stronger responses to wind, delays, interruptions and changing conditions
• clearer communication in team and mixed team competition
• confidence without forcing, protecting or technically overthinking the shot
• practical routines that coaches can reinforce during training and competition
The pilot can support recurve, compound and barebow archers across target, indoor, field, 3D and Para archery including senior, U21 and youth athletes; men’s, women’s and mixed teams; national squads; clubs; academies; coaches; small groups and individual archers.
Delivery is fully online across four weekly sessions of 60 minutes and integrates with existing technical, physical and medical preparation.
This is not a motivational seminar.
Every archer finishes with practical routines, attention cues and reset systems they can train, test and use in competition.
