Dr. Besik Oboladze, General Secretary of the Georgian National Archery Federation, and Artem Sanishvili, Executive Secretary, paid an official working visit to the World Archery Federation (World Archery) and the World Archery Excellence Centre.

The main objective of the visit was to present the 7-year Development Strategy (2025–2032) adopted by the Federation on March 1 of this year, as well as to discuss joint work programmes with international partners.

Key Results of the Visit and Meetings

As part of the meetings held in Lausanne (Switzerland), at the headquarters of World Archery and the World Archery Excellence Centre:

Presentation of the Strategy: Besik Oboladze presented in detail the 7-year Development Strategy of the Georgian Federation, which includes 12 core goals, among them the "Olympic Reserve-Road 2032" and "Elite Transformation" initiatives.

International Evaluation: The document received high praise from the leadership of the international federation. Its full compliance with World Archery standards was highlighted, creating a solid foundation for Georgia’s successful participation in global expert and grant programmes.

Programmatic Cooperation: The parties discussed prospects for cooperation within the framework of the "Knowledge Sharing Programme 2026." Priority areas were identified as coach education (Level 1, Level 2), national judge courses, the development of para-archery, and event management seminars.

Visit to the World Archery Excellence Centre As part of the official visit, the Georgian delegation visited the World Archery Excellence Centre, where successful business meetings were held with the Centre's leadership:

Meetings were conducted with Cecilia Viscarra Moser, Development Manager, and Siret Luik, Head of Development and Education at World Archery.

The 7-year Development Strategy of Georgian Archery was presented;

The Georgian delegation toured in detail the Centre's modern technological infrastructure and training facilities, the experience of which will be utilized to refine sports management and training processes in Georgia.

This visit represents a strategically important step towards the international integration of Georgian archery, athlete training, raising the qualifications of coaches and judges, and achieving long-term, sustainable development.
